Eaton County Adult Handicap Program
We are designed as a social/recreational outlet for adults with special needs and limitations. The program is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Adult Handicap Program is: To improve the quality of the lives of adults with developmental disabilities* residing in our area by providing regular opportunities for socialization, fellowship, recreation, entertainment and enrichment in a caring atmosphere, that is geared to their special needs.
Who:
Anyone 18 or older with a developmental disability living in the Eaton County area.
What:
Bingo, table games, potluck dinners, party/dances, and bowling. Participants are responsible for their own transportation. There is no charge for participation in the program.
Where:
Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (1790 E Packard Hwy, Charlotte, MI), It also meets at the Charlotte American Legion Hall and the Char-Lanes bowling alley (on North Lansing Road) – please see monthly calendar of events to verify location for that week.
When:
Tuesday nights, 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Funding
Funding for this program comes from Capital Area United Way, local churches and service organizations, and private donations.
