Eaton RESA Announces Board of Education Elections
Biennial Board Member Election will be Monday, June 5, 2023Charlotte, MI - During the Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, district officials announced upcoming biennial board member elections for two, six year terms. The election will take place on Monday, June 5, 2023, in the Board Room at the Eaton RESA main office, 1790 East Packard Highway, Charlotte, MI 48813.
Two terms, currently held by Mark Rushford and Alex Gonzalez, will be open for this election. The terms of office run from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2029. Anyone interested in running for these board seats must be at least 18 years of age, a registered voter and a resident within one of the Eaton RESA five constituent districts.
In order to be eligible for the election, interested candidates must either file a nominating petition with a minimum of 40, and maximum of 100, valid voter signatures from residents within the Eaton RESA service area or pay a nonrefundable filing fee of $100. Candidates must file the nominating petition or pay the fee and provide an Affidavit of Identity with the Eaton County Clerk by May 8, 2023.
