Families in Eaton County are invited to FREE Community Playgroups designed for children and infants from birth through 5 years old, along with their siblings. These fun and engaging playgroups will be held in Grand Ledge, Charlotte and Eaton Rapids. Please see the complete list of playgroups and locations.
Each playgroup offers a welcoming space for families to connect while children enjoy stories, movement activities, art, social interaction and plenty of play. Parents and caregivers must remain with their children at all times, and each child will receive a free book to take home.

Instead of sitting behind screens, participants walked around, visited “vendor tables,” picked up materials, and held one-on-one conversations tailored to their organization’s needs. The event created opportunities to share resources, spark new ideas, and strengthen partnerships that benefit learners and families across the region.
The IGNITE Teacher Network welcomed new and early career teachers from Eaton Rapids, Potterville, Charlotte and Grand Ledge to Eaton RESA on Friday, August 8. The session, “Ready, Set, Teach: Tips, tricks, and peace of mind that you are NOT the only one with first day jitters!”, gave teachers the chance to network, learn and share ideas for starting the school year strong. Eaton RESA supports educators in local districts by providing professional development, training and support opportunities. This summer, Eaton RESA hosted a four-day aviation camp at Capital Region International Airport that gave students in grades six through eight an unforgettable, sky-high experience!
From the very first day, students dove into the world of aviation, mastering the phonetic alphabet, learning how weather shapes flight, exploring the layers of the atmosphere and experimenting with aerodynamics using a wind tunnel. They tested their piloting skills on Redbird Flight Simulators, flew drones and discovered how medical factors affect flight crews.
