Dr. Dawn Bentley named Eaton RESA Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services
Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (Eaton RESA) is pleased to announce Dr. Dawn Bentley will join the district as the new Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services, beginning July 1, 2026.
In this role, she will oversee the General Education, Early Childhood, School Wellness and Prevention and Behavior/Mental Health Services teams and staff.
Dr. Bentley brings nearly 30 years of experience in educational leadership. During her career, she has built integrated instructional support systems with a focus on real change in teaching and learning.

Free Early Childhood Playgroups Offered
Families in Eaton County are invited to FREE Community Playgroups designed for children and infants from birth through 5 years old, along with their siblings. These fun and engaging playgroups will be held in Grand Ledge, Charlotte and Eaton Rapids. Please see the complete list of playgroups and locations.
Each playgroup offers a welcoming space for families to connect while children enjoy stories, movement activities, art, social interaction and plenty of play. Parents and caregivers must remain with their children at all times, and each child will receive a free book to take home.

Eaton RESA Career Pathway Specialist Earns State and Regional Recognition
CHARLOTTE, MI — Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) is proud to announce that Career Pathway Specialist Sara Jobson has been named the recipient of the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Region 1 Counseling and Career Development Professional of the Year Award. She was also recognized with the Michigan Association for Career and Technical Education (MIACTE) Counseling and Career Development Professional of the Year award earlier this year.
