Free Early Childhood Playgroups Offered
Families in Eaton County are invited to FREE Community Playgroups designed for children and infants from birth through 5 years old, along with their siblings. These fun and engaging playgroups will be held in Grand Ledge, Charlotte and Eaton Rapids. Please see the complete list of playgroups and locations.
Each playgroup offers a welcoming space for families to connect while children enjoy stories, movement activities, art, social interaction and plenty of play. Parents and caregivers must remain with their children at all times, and each child will receive a free book to take home.
Eaton Rapids Playgroups- Wednesdays
- Location: Playground of Dreams, 100 Howe Drive in Eaton Rapids
- Dates: June 10 and 17 and July 8, 15 and 22
- All playgroups will be from 10 – 11 AM
Charlotte Playgroups- Wednesdays
Location: Southridge Center, 311 W. First St, in Charlotte
Dates: Wednesdays, April 8- May 20
All playgroups will be from 10 - 11 AM
Grand Ledge Playgroups- Thursdays
- Location: Fitzgerald Park, 133 Fitzgerald Park Dr. Grand Ledge, MI 48837
- Dates: June 4, 11, 18; July 9 and 16
- All playgroups will be from 10-11 AM
Up-to-date information, including any weather-related cancellations, will be shared on the Eaton RESA Facebook page. Caregivers must remain with children during playgroups. The playgroups are funded through a grant from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential and presented in conjunction with Early On Michigan and the Great Start Readiness Program.
