Free Early Childhood Playgroups Offered
Families in Eaton County are invited to FREE Community Playgroups designed for children and infants from birth through 5 years old, along with their siblings. These fun and engaging playgroups will be held in Grand Ledge, Maple Valley and Eaton Rapids. Please see the complete list of playgroups and locations.
Each playgroup offers a welcoming space for families to connect while children enjoy stories, movement activities, art, social interaction and plenty of play. Parents and caregivers must remain with their children at all times, and each child will receive a free book to take home.
Eaton Rapids Playgroups- Wednesdays
- Location: Union Street Community Center, 501 Union Street, in Eaton Rapids (Room 111)
- Dates: January 7, 14, 21, 28; February 4 and 11
- All playgroups will be from 10 – 11 AM
Grand Ledge Playgroups- Thursdays
- Location: Delta Mills Early Childhood Center, 6818 Delta River Road, in Lansing
- Dates: January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5 and 12
- All playgroups will be from 11 AM – 12 PM
Maple Valley Playgroups- Thursdays
- Location: Fuller Street Elementary, 251 Fuller Street, in Nashville
- Dates: January 8, 15, 22 and 29
- All playgroups will be from 10 – 11 AM

Up-to-date information, including any weather-related cancellations, will be shared on the Eaton RESA Facebook page. The playgroups are funded through a grant from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential and presented in conjunction with Early On Michigan and the Great Start Readiness Program.
