Eaton RESA Launches CARES Collaborative with Area ISDs
Eaton RESA, Clinton County RESA, Ingham ISD, and Shiawassee RESD are partnering to launch the Capital Area Regional Education Strategy (CARES) Collaborative.
In addition, Hannah Sweeney has been named Director of Government Relations for the CARES Collaborative supporting the four organizations.
This new regional partnership is designed to strengthen the voice of public education across the Capital Area. By working together, the four ISDs have hired a CARES Collaborative Director, Hannah Sweeney, who will support coordinated engagement with state and federal policymakers and help ensure the needs and priorities of our local districts are clearly represented in education policy discussions.
The intent of CARES is not to replace existing statewide advocacy efforts, but to complement them by providing focused regional coordination and alignment. This approach allows us to be more proactive, informed and strategic in addressing legislative and policy issues that impact your districts, students and staff.
The CARES Collaborative will be governed by the four ISD superintendents, under the direction of their respective Boards of Education. The cost of the Director position will be shared equally among the four ISDs.
As this work moves forward, we look forward to engaging with you to help shape legislative priorities and ensure strong regional alignment.
