Eaton County Prosecutor Shares Important Reminder
As the 2026-27 school year begins, Eaton County Prosecutor Douglas Lloyd has again shared a letter to families reminding them to talk to students about the seriousness of threats made to schools, students or staff or our communities. The letter serves as a reminder that all threats are taken seriously treated as intentional and serious, regardless of whether someone claims they were joking or did not mean to cause fear.
Families are encouraged to talk with their students about school safety, including threats and reporting suspicious or concerning behavior to a trusted adult or through the Michigan Student Safety Program, OK2Say.
