Eaton RESA Staff Graduate Leadership Lansing
Eaton RESA's Director of Adult Education Heather Algrim and Director of Behavior/Mental Health Services Melea Belton graduated from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Lansing Class of 2025-26.
This eight-month program is designed to develop community leaders by providing an in-depth look at the institutions and industries that drive the Lansing region’s economy and quality of life. From October through May, Heather and Melea participated in monthly workshops focused on key sectors, including education, healthcare and economic development, while receiving practical training to enhance their leadership skills within their roles.
Throughout the program, they were joined by leaders from various organizations around the region, such as Ele's Place, Lansing Board of Water and Light, General Motors, Michigan State University Athletics and the Lansing Symphony Orchestra.
This experience allowed them to network with local peers and explore regional resources that are essential to the growth of our community. This participation has allowed them to build valuable connections and strengthen support for Eaton RESA across the Greater Lansing area. We appreciate their commitment to professional development and the insight they have gained to better serve our organization and the public.
