Capital Region Learning Group Hosts Partner Expo

The Capital Region Learning Group (CRLG) recently held its annual in-person meeting, hosted by Eaton RESA. Unlike the typical virtual gatherings, this event gave members a chance to connect face-to-face in a mini-expo format.

Instead of sitting behind screens, participants walked around, visited “vendor tables,” picked up materials, and held one-on-one conversations tailored to their organization’s needs. The event created opportunities to share resources, spark new ideas, and strengthen partnerships that benefit learners and families across the region.

IGNITE Teacher Network Kicks Off New School Year

The IGNITE Teacher Network welcomed new and early career teachers from Eaton Rapids, Potterville, Charlotte and Grand Ledge to Eaton RESA on Friday, August 8. The session, “Ready, Set, Teach: Tips, tricks, and peace of mind that you are NOT the only one with first day jitters!, gave teachers the chance to network, learn and share ideas for starting the school year strong. Eaton RESA supports educators in local districts by providing professional development, training and support opportunities. Middle School Students Explore Aviation

This summer, Eaton RESA hosted a four-day aviation camp at Capital Region International Airport that gave students in grades six through eight an unforgettable, sky-high experience!

From the very first day, students dove into the world of aviation, mastering the phonetic alphabet, learning how weather shapes flight, exploring the layers of the atmosphere and experimenting with aerodynamics using a wind tunnel. They tested their piloting skills on Redbird Flight Simulators, flew drones and discovered how medical factors affect flight crews.

Board Members Re-Elected

During the Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) Board of Education election on Monday, June 2, 2025, three members were elected to fill three, six year terms of service to the Board.

Jack Temsey was elected to represent Potterville Public Schools, Denise DuFort was elected to represent Grand Ledge Public Schools and Debbie Roberts was elected to represent Eaton Rapids Public Schools. Their terms will begin July 1, 2025, and end June 30, 2031.

Great Start Readiness Program Meets All 10 Quality Benchmarks for 8th Year In a Row

LANSING, Mich. – Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential today announced that Michigan’s Great Start Readiness Program, the state’s main PreK for All program, again achieved top marks for quality.
