Group Supporting AAC Users Meets Monthly
Families and community members are invited to join the Speak Up for Equal Access (SUEA) Crew, a collaborative group between Eaton Regional Service Agency (RESA) and Ingham Intermediate School District (ISD) dedicated to supporting advocacy and family involvement around Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in Eaton and Ingham counties.
The SUEA Crew offers both in-person and virtual monthly gatherings from 5 - 6 PM, hosted alternately at Ingham ISD’s Thorburn Education Center and Eaton RESA’s Packard Building, with a community outing planned for May. This year’s sessions feature guest speaker Pam Harris, who will share insights from her experience as a parent of an AAC user and present on topics such as mindful modeling.
Attendees can RSVP for all upcoming events online and are welcome to attend any or all sessions. This is a great opportunity to connect, learn and build community around AAC support and equal access.
