FOX 47's Morning Blend Talks about Eaton RESA's Services & Supports

Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center (CPC) students joined students from across the country for the National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC), one of the nation’s largest events celebrating career and technical education. Among the thousands of talented competitors, Eaton RESA CPC students stood out with impressive performances on the national stage.

Meadowview School was selected to take part of the University of Michigan’s Project Healthy Schools this year. This program helps students build lifelong healthy habits through fun, hands-on learning about nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness.

In February, Eaton RESA launched the Mi-STEM Region 7 3P Educational Leadership Network with a two-day training led by Innovation and Programs Consultant, Sarah Felsing. Funded by a Mi-STEM grant, the training focused on Place-, Project-, and Problem-based learning with the goal of enhancing student access to student-centered, experiential learning. Teachers explored 3P essentials, collaborated on unit planning, and had an opportunity to source unit materials with grant funds.

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) students and staff at Neff Early Childhood Center in Grand Ledge celebrated World Down Syndrome Day by "rocking their socks" to show their support for Cannon, a GSRP preschool student at Neff, and celebrate what makes all students unique and special.

For the second year, two Eaton RESA Career Preparation Center (CPC) students were the recipients of the $5,000 Dreams Take Flight Scholarship courtesy of MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU).
