Capital Region Learning Group Hosts Partner Expo

The Capital Region Learning Group (CRLG) recently held its annual in-person meeting, hosted by Eaton RESA. Unlike the typical virtual gatherings, this event gave members a chance to connect face-to-face in a mini-expo format.

Instead of sitting behind screens, participants walked around, visited “vendor tables,” picked up materials, and held one-on-one conversations tailored to their organization’s needs. The event created opportunities to share resources, spark new ideas, and strengthen partnerships that benefit learners and families across the region.

The CRLG includes more than 60 members representing about 30 organizations in Eaton, Ingham and Clinton counties. Its mission is to develop partnerships that build strong connections between learning, jobs, families, and communities while reducing duplication and filling gaps in services.

Organizations represented at the event included Eaton RESA Adult Education, Lansing Adult Education, The Global Institute of Lansing, Refugee Development Center, Ingham Substance Awareness & Prevention, Eaton County Substance Awareness Advisory Group, Capital Area District Libraries, Ingham County Career and Technical Education, Capital Area College Access Network, and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Workforce Development .

The CRLG meets every two months during the school year, with most sessions held virtually. This special in-person meeting was a highlight for many, providing meaningful conversations and renewed energy for collaboration across the tri-county area.
