Because healthy students are better learners, Eaton RESA is committed to helping school districts in Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties build supportive, healthy school environments. This work includes leading and implementing the Whole Child Model across the region.

Our mission is to provide quality services that promote health, strengthen protective factors and reduce risk for students.

Needs Assessment Resources

The Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth (MiPHY) is an anonymous student survey of health behaviors given to 7th, 9th, and 11th graders in Michigan. Districts can use this optional survey to help plan prevention and health education activities. 

The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) is an optional national survey for middle or high school students on health behaviors. Districts can use the statewide data available to plan prevention and health education activities. 

The Healthy School Action Tool (HSAT) is a Michigan based self-assessment tool that helps districts measure the health of the school environments and plan and measure the implementation of improvements to build healthier school buildings. 

The Health Education Curriculum Assessment Tool (HECAT) is a self-assessment tool available from the CDC that assists districts in selecting and reviewing health education curriculum.
